Stephanie is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Group Instructor. She has been an athlete her whole life, and loved getting her college teammates into the weight room with her. She has always had a desire to help others learn more about exercise and nutrition, and to motivate people to accomplish more than they ever thought they could. Stephanie used this mindset when she played rugby in college, when she coached rugby after college, and brings that same mentality to her current clients.
Stephanie specializes in working with athletes, people starting out on their training journey, and clients struggling with lower back pain.
“Growing up, I played soccer and grew a love for playing and coaching rugby in college. There is so much I understand now that I wish I would have known playing sports. Things that would have helped me be a stronger and faster athlete, and overall more confident on the field. The things you learn in sports you keep with you the rest of your life. Having a strong foundation is crucial.
Because I didn’t have this, I ended up with a lower back injury that took years to recover from. This injury is what drove me to become a personal trainer. I had to have patience, deeply understand the mechanics of my body, and start my fitness journey from step 1. Taking correct first steps is so crucial, and I love helping clients get started in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment!
For those with back pain - especially if that pain makes you nervous to go to the gym (like I was when I started), let’s talk! Proper movements and exercises can alleviate this pain, and I would love to coach you through these movements. The limitations my back caused me created a frustration I don’t want anyone else to feel, and the happiness I feel now living day-to-day is something I want everyone to feel.
My goal is to help you feel empowered, strong, and instill a life-long love for movement and exercise. If any of this resonates with your goals, then please reach out. I’d love to chat!”
