ROBIN SANCHEZ

Trainer

Robin has always believed in helping others. He began his career as a nursing student and supplemented his education working in a rehabilitation center, at an alzheimer’s program and additionally with hospice patients. Here he developed his passion for health and wellness. Robin’s experiences in medicine led him to change his career path to help others understand the importance of managing good health at early stages in life. He obtained his degree in Exercise Science and mentored for 5 years under fitness professionals. Robin is currently involved with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, participating in NSCA/CSCS certifications. Since his graduation he has been designing and implementing strength programs for beginners, athletes and older populations and brings this expertise to All in Motion.

AMY HOMMA

Trainer

Amy has been in the fitness industry since 2014. Amy is an international professional artist who plays highly rigorous taiko - Japanese drumming.  In this role she previously served as an ensemble leader and head instructor at a Chicago based school.. Amy is also active in learning Japanese Classical dance and martial art movements. Her taiko experience and the pursuit of health and fitness lead her to the life of a fitness instructor. Amy's personal motto is “nothing is impossible if you put your mind into it”.  She understands that workouts are never meant to be easy, and that working towards goals is a process. "It is a journey!" 

 

“As an instructor, It is my responsibility to ensure members get a challenging class (Spinning, Cardio Kickboxing, and any muscle formats) in a fun, energetic, and positive environment!”

 

Amy also loves to run, and has previously completed the Chicago Marathon.  She holds certifications in AFAA group fitness. AFAA kickboxing and Mad Dogg spin.

JOHN ELY

Trainer

John majored in Sports Science at Miami of Ohio University and spent nearly a decade as a professional baseball player.  John pitched in the major leagues for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He currently works as a pitching coach for the Chicago White Sox development program. As an athlete himself, John knows how to train in order to achieve goals. 
 
John has always been drawn to sports and fitness which has led him to personal training. He has a passion for strength and functional training, in particular understanding how altering body mechanics can lead to specific improvements in athletic development and achievement. 
 
Come experience John’s enthusiasm and gift for helping everyone from professionals to beginners get to the next level!

EVIE OLSON

Trainer

Movement has always been an important part of Evie’s life, having trained as a dancer since the age of three. She went on to dance professionally, notably, for our very own Chicago Bulls as one of the Luvabull Dancers. 

 

With her passion for movement and helping others, Evie began teaching both dance and fitness in 2011, eventually earning certifications through AFAA program. Evie has training experience in multiple fitness formats including HIIT, strength and conditioning, as well as a specialty (and passion) for functional movement training which not only builds strength but improves stability and mobility throughout the body. 

 

No matter the format, Evie loves engaging with clients and giving them a personalized experience so they feel challenged and reach their fitness goals!

Lee John Nguyen

Trainer

Lee is a high-energy moving machine and is always looking for ways to improve himself. He has a passion for martial arts and dance and has been in the fitness world for the last 10 years. Lee works privately with clients and in group fitness settings. Lee's fitness sessions deliver intense training using the latest techniques in exercise science, cardio programs, and strength training.

Lee also has experience in bodywork with advanced training and study in Massage Therapy and East Asian Body Work from the Pacific College of Health and Science. With the knowledge of both western and eastern modalities of fitness and recovery, Lee focuses on whole-body health: body, mind, and spirit.

Lee is also a big anime nerd and loves video games. He is a fur father to two beautiful naughty cats and is a hoarder of plants!

Anthony Pascolla

Trainer

Tony has been a Physical Education teacher for the last 10 years at both the high school and middle school grade levels. Tony specializes in Kettlebell Training and has received certifications in this modality including Strong First. 

He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from DePaul University and Master's Degree in Sports, Fitness and Recreational Leadership.

Outside of teaching, Tony coaches Soccer, Wrestling and Track and Field. He loves to travel to different counties and enjoyd meeting new people from around the world.

ROBERT SANCHEZ

Trainer

Robert began practicing Hatha in 2006 and found yoga to heighten his connection to mind, body and spiritual self. After five years of work in Rush Hospital’s Imaging department, he decided to help others become better aware of their bodies and relieve injuries through Yoga.

Believing in Yoga’s possibilities, Robert attended the Chicago School of Yoga Teacher Training in 2014, achieving his certification to teach all styles. Robert has taught at numerous fitness facilities within the Chicagoland area and has become a Manduka Brand Ambassador.

He is passionate about helping others bring themselves to the mat where they are welcomed and encouraged to discover their inner greatness, strength and calm. Creating comfortable atmospheres and providing proper alignment direction is vital to all his teachings helping you explore the power of breath, asanas (postures) and create a greater sense of presence through your practice.

THERESA SCHWAB ROSS

Physician

Theresa has and continues to spend the majority of her time working in Emergency Medicine after training at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. She holds specialty degrees in Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine and previously as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Years of the study of medicine combined with an appetite for physical fitness and general health and nutrition have led her to specific pursuits in the areas of exercise physiology.  She became a sports and fitness enthusiast later in life and her passion for health resulted in the creation of All in Motion with Robin and Amy.
